Barry Margerum, Principal

Experience

Barry Margerum has more than twenty-five years of C-level management, strategy, and marketing experience in the electronics and communications industries and is a recognized pioneer in bringing mindfulness programs into the corporate workplace.

The Road to Mindfulness

After studying and practicing meditation, yoga, and mindfulness for many years, Barry brought Google’s Search Inside Yourself program into Plantronics Inc., where he was serving as the chief strategy officer. He subsequently became certified to teach the SIY curriculum and has taught mindfulness classes to executives and knowledge workers around the world.

Specialization

With his unique mix of business acumen and mindfulness experience, Barry specializes in integrating mindful and compassionate leadership practices into corporate cultures and core management curriculum.

Barry is a frequent speaker at electronics and communications industry events and human resource summits and symposiums, where he discusses how to bring mindfulness to work. He consults with F1000 to develop compassionate leaders and corporate-wide mindfulness work practices to achieve higher levels of engagement, increased well-being, and optimal performance.
